Our school is part of the American Taekwondo Association (ATA) which is the premier North American organization dedicated to the martial arts discipline of Songahm Taekwondo, and the founding organization of other international affiliates that include the World Traditional Taekwondo Union (WTTU) and the Songahm Taekwondo Federation (STF). All of these organizations study the style of Songahm Taekwondo. Songahm Taekwondo itself is always evolving, and we will always develop new programs and update our existing programs to ensure our students have as much access to the different aspects of Songahm Taekwondo as possible. Our goal is to inspire each and every student to achieve Black Belt Excellence through Life Skills, Goal Setting and Positive Role Models. We promise to provide a safe, fun and positive learning environment for students of all ages while fostering growth in our students' personal development both physically and mentally. The teaching curriculum at the ATA Black Belt Academy & Karate for Kids is based on two concepts: "Positive Mental Attitude" and "High Goal Setting". Our CurriculumWhat sets ATA Black Belt Academy & Karate for Kids apart from other martial arts schools is the curriculum. The American Taekwondo Association developed a thorough curriculum for each of the color belt ranks and advance curriculum for the black belt ranks. Each licensed school follows these curriculum formats in its training of it's students. As students progress through the ranks, the information and training increases to challenge their abilities. In addition, the ATA schools blend the use of Life Skills into their curriculums. One of the Life Skills that a student will use through their life is Goal Setting and we instill this by the rank system itself. Our Rank Testing/Graduation to the next rank is also part of that Goal Setting process, by giving the students a focal point to their training of each rank.
